A Twitch extension that shows hero stats in a movable window right on top of the stream.

/ How it works
  1. The streamer launches Heroes III and the Companion app.
  2. The viewer activates the Companion extension on Twitch.
  3. Once both are done, the viewer gets an info window inside the stream player.
/ About the app

HoMM III Companion is a streamer app built for Heroes of Might and Magic III: Horn of the Abyss. It reads the live game state from the running process and sends it to the HoMM III Companion Twitch Extension, so viewers can check the streamer’s current hero, army, artifacts, skills, spell book, movement points, mana and other live data without extra layers in OBS.

The project is aimed at Heroes III PvP streams, where viewers want to look up hero info quickly and the streamer wants to keep the main game picture clean.

The app was created exclusively for the SWU tournament for the HUC community.

/ Features
  • Connects to Heroes III / HotA running on the streamer’s PC.
  • Sends the current game state to the companion Twitch Extension.
  • Shows the hero portrait, primary stats, morale, luck, experience, skills, artifacts, army, spell book and detailed info windows.
  • Lets viewers interact with the info without changing the streamer’s scene in OBS.

Basic usage:

  1. Launch Heroes III / HotA.
  2. Launch HoMM III Companion.
  3. Connect your Twitch account.
  4. Press the Start button.
  5. Start streaming with the HoMM III Companion Twitch Extension enabled.
